Botswana Agate is a stone for exploring the unknown. It provides us with courage to embark on spiritual journeys and to seek truth in all its myriad forms. Botswana Agate energizes the auric body and helps us to recognize that Love is the great constant of the universe. It is a stone that encourages spiritual maturity, moving us beyond dogma and into a more full and rich personal experience of the Divine.

Botswana Agate helps us to overcome feelings of repression – especially in terms of artistic expression. It recalls our childlike wonder of the world, that time when we felt (or wanted to feel) that everything was possible and we could do anything we put our minds to. At the same time, Botswana Agate has a soothing energy that is extremely grounding and helps us to see things from their proper perspective. It is a wonderful stone for anyone who has a dream and wants to see it come to fruition. It is also very helpful for anyone who is actively seeking new friends or a new romantic relationship. It encourages us to act conscientiously and lovingly towards ourselves and others, and to be both confident and happy.

Botswana Agate is also a very good choice for anyone involved in art therapy. It reminds us that there are many ways to understand our emotions and to solve our problems, and to be open to exploring these different paths until we find one that suits us well.  Botswana Agate is also a good crystal friend when it’s time to quit smoking.  It reminds us that we’re the only one who can give this gift of health (and money) to ourselves and that we can do it! It helps us to find ways to satisfy the craving without giving in to the old habit.  It is a lovely talisman for health conditions affecting the lungs, throat, or eyes.

Mala is a Sanskrit word meaning "garland" or "impurity." It is also the term for a string of beads that has been used by sages and those with spiritual aspirations for thousands of years. Yogis and Buddhists were the first to use mala to enhance their spiritual practices. Also called yoga beads, mala is used to keep count of mantra repetitions, or japa, during meditation.

Mala is usually made of 108 beads and a guru bead. This enhances the practice of japa meditation (also called mantra meditation) by keeping count of the number of times a mantra is chanted. Malas can be made with fewer beads, such as 18, 27 and 54. It is believed that some holy texts say a mala should consist of only nine beads. Hence, a mantra chanting of 108 times would require you to complete 12 turns of the nine-bead mala.

The number of beads in a mala is associated with the aim of japa. A mala with 27 beads is used for attaining spiritual progress, while a mala with 108 beads is used to achieve fulfillment. The number, 108, has spiritual significance as it is believed that 108 energy lines converge to form anahata, the heart chakra.

  • Disclaimer

All jewelry will first be cleansed with the frequencies of a Tibetan sound bowl filled with clear quartz crystals. Your jewelry will then be infused with the healing energies of Reiki.

If you have any special requests, please let me know at check out.

***ALWAYS AVOID YOUR MALA GETTING WET OR CONTACTING WATER AS THAT MAKES THE STRING WEEK.

Your mala is a precious part of your life. When I make each mala, we hope our buyers will use it lifelong. Mala making requires patience, as does the maintenance of your mala. Any vigorous exercise (with your mala) or bathing/swimming may cause damage to it.

I make my malas and bracelets keeping in mind your need for positivity energy. Although your mala absorbs negative energy, you must clean your mala regularly to ensure that the mala does not become saturated with negativity and reflect it back to you. Leaving your mala in natural sunlight for a few hours could do the trick for removing negativity.

Malas strung on a natural silk thread are delicate and we urge our buyers to avoid frequent stretching. Too much stretching may damage your mala.

Often my buyers ask why they their malas or bracelets have slight discolorations or differences from the pictures shown. This is due to each gemstone’s natural originality and uniqueness. Each stone is slightly different from the other, which is why your mala is special from the same one another buyer may receive.
